As a business Melwood often tries to help and support other local businesses within the local community. Our relationship with Amy and Blue Butterfly has continued since we helped Amy build her studios in January 2019. Since then we have provided planned maintenance as well as a reactive call out service. We have seen first hand how hard Amy works but she always take the time to stop and say hi. Amy approached me to see if we would be interested in participating in a first aid course which was run at the studios. Whilst I was at the course I spoke with the training provider and enquired about the possibility of purchasing a defibrillator and donating it to Amy and the studios.
Amy has often said she would love to do a fundraising event to try and raise enough funds to buy or go towards a defibrillator as this is something very important to her on a personal level. Also the safety and wellbeing of all the students at the studio is immensely important to Amy too.
So after a handful of emails and some help from the first aider we took delivery of a new AED which we surprised Amy with and helped install it next to the reception desk at the studio.
Since then Amy has registered the Defib on the national database which means not only is it available for the studio but it's also there to provide help for the local community and if the emergency services need it.
We are really proud to be able to donate such a critical piece of life saving equipment to Amy and Blue Butterfly and we will continue to help and support the local community in anyway we can.

As a business Melwood often tries to help and support other local businesses within the local community. We recently became proud sponsors of Stoneham AFC Panthers u12 providing kits for training and match days as well as all whether jackets.
We're continuing to help support these girls after gaining promotion to the top division with the addition of a new pink third kit.
Wishing the girls luck for the season which I'm sure they will give their all.
